T he Secret Sound® speakers are easily assembled and installed using standard electrical hardware. Most installations use a ceiling-mounted electrical conduit with 1/2” outside threads at the bottom end. We do not supply this hardware. The threaded conduit, generally painted black, threads into the coupling we provide. The speaker wire (16-18 gauge) is routed from the player through the conduit to the coupling, where it is connected to the speaker using supplied wire nuts, The speaker is then threaded onto the coupling, completing the installation. Weighing less than ten pounds, these speakers can also be suspended using braided steel cable.  Secret Sound® speakers can also be mounted flush in a false ceiling or behind a fabric scrim. To flush mount, you will need adequate height above the ceiling for the parabola and coupling. The parabola slips easily into a 28” round cutout, and mounting screws can be used through the flat edge flange, or the unit can be pulled tight from above using the coupling.
